BRUSHES TESTING

Customers often ask us to tell what one can paint with this or that brush. We applied to handcrafters, who paint Russian traditional dolls matreshka. For many years they have been using only brushes of our production and know all the techniques. They helped us to show you what brush strokes one can get using different kind of brushes. We are grateful to them for their help and suggest you to try to repeat all these sketches with our brushes.

ROUND BRUSHES.

For painting details, thin lines, traceries, ornamental patterns.

For painting lines and other elements of medium thickness.

For painting large elements of a picture.
SCHLEPPER.
Holds large amount of paint due to what you can paint long continuous lines without recharging the brush. It is used in lettering, in calligraphy. When painting, stay up on the tip. Keep the handle of the brush as close to 90 degrees to your surface as posssible. Go slow enough to allow the paint to flow down to the tip. The long length allows a large flow of paint to run in a continuous stream for the entire name to be painted.
FLAT BRUSH.
Long length-out: ideal for laying down large areas of even color, covering backgrounds.
Short length-out: artists use a tip as well as the whole tuft, so it is possible to get thick brushstrokes or fine lines.
ANGULAR BRUSH.
Is used for cutting into tight spaces or blending smooth swaths of color together seamlessly. Perfectly suits for streamer-like brushstrokes, very popular with flower painters and decorative painters. The angle flat It provides a better view of the stroke in-process, and can be used creatively to make variable-width strokes.
OVAL BRUSHES.
Have advantages of both round and flat brushes. With an oval brush, the application of color starts more gradually with the narrow point and then expands for wider coverage.
FAN BRUSHES.
Can be used dry for fading, as well as wet - for textural effects and for simulating grass, fur, waves, wood grain.
